Mayor James Proclaims March as Florida Bicycle Month
WEST PALM BEACH, FL – On Monday, March 6, 2023, at the City Commissioners meeting, Mayor Keith A. James proclaimed the month of March 2023 as Florida Bicycle Month.
The City of West Palm Beach has been working diligently on mobility and sustainability efforts to encourage residents to make an impact on the environment where they reside. The City of West Palm Beach has made a commitment to reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions to Net Zero by 2050 and emissions from transportation are the City’s highest contributor to our climate impacts. Raising awareness of bicycling and a mobility option will ultimately promote physical activity and a healthy lifestyle by elevating the activity as a more widely accepted choice of sustainable transportation.
