Legacy Business Hamburger Haven to be Celebrated in Groundbreaking Ceremony

WHAT: West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James, city commissioners, the West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), in partnership with Palm Beach County’s Housing and Economic Development division and the Bank of Belle Glade, will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the renovation project of Hamburger Haven.
The project, which includes a full rehabilitation of the building as well as improvements to the adjacent park space, is the result of a creative financing partnership between the CRA, Palm Beach County, and the Bank of Belle Glade. Once complete, the project will include brick-and-mortar space for two additional businesses.
Hamburger Haven, a family-owned business, has been open since the 1940s and is best known for serving up some of the area’s most mouthwatering hamburgers. Owner Kenneth Allen is also a resident of the City’s Historic Northwest, as well as the associate pastor at the nearby New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
