DSWM Recycling Art Poster Contest winners

The winners of the second annual Miami-Dade Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) Recycling Art Poster Contest have been selected. Congratulations to the student winners, who have been recognized for their outstanding creativity, hard work, and commitment to promoting the importance of “Recycling Right!” in the community.
Thanks to all the participating students, schools, teachers, principals and parents!
The fourteen winners are set to be honored at a special presentation of the Board of County Commissioners in May. Each winner will receive a copy of their artwork framed, and a nice swag bag full of goodies from DSWM and other County departments.
The DSWM Recycling Art Poster Contest was created to promote recycling education and the importance of recycling to children.

A total of fourteen winners were selected to represent each of the County Commission Districts as well as the Mayor’s Office.
Miami-Dade County provides curbside recycling service to more than 356,000 single-family households in the unincorporated areas of Miami-Dade County as well as all residences in 19 participating municipalities: Aventura, Cutler Bay, Doral, El Portal, Florida City, Medley, Miami Beach, Miami Gardens, Miami Lakes, Miami Springs, North Bay Village, Opa-locka, Palmetto Bay, Pinecrest, South Miami, Sunny Isles Beach, Surfside, West Miami and Virginia Gardens.
