A celebration of Black history
As the nation observes Black History Month, take part in events planned throughout February that celebrate the past and present contributions of African Americans. There’s something for everyone, whether your preference is art, music, lively discussions, or technology. This year’s theme, “A Century of Black History Commemorations,” celebrating the 100th anniversary of Black History Month.

- Miami Dade College invites you to a variety of events taking place across their campuses
- Experience and learn Black history and culture through interactive stories, songs and dances for all ages at the Miami-Dade Public Library System
