Microsoft Copilot Chat launches for County employees

Miami-Dade County is excited to launch Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat, a new AI-powered assistant available for County employees. Designed to enhance productivity, spark creativity and support continuous learning, this County-approved solution is now live and ready for use.

What is Copilot Chat?
Copilot Chat brings the power of generative AI directly to your desktop, transforming the way you work, right inside your favorite Office 365 apps. It’s similar to ChatGPT, but with account safeguards to protect data, including:

  • Enterprise-grade security: Ensures protection of sensitive public-sector data
  • Productivity tools: Helps you draft emails, summarize reports, conduct research and brainstorm ideas
  • Skill-building: Encourages confident, informed use of AI in everyday tasks

How to install?
To begin using Copilot Chat, employees can simply visit m365copilot.com from your County desktop. For convenience, the application can also be pinned to Microsoft tools like Word, Excel and Outlook.

Training and support
On behalf of Miami-Dade Training, we have partnered with Microsoft’s official Copilot Chat training partner, Brainstorm, offering 24/7 access to on-demand tutorials, training sessions and self-paced learning resources tailored for government users.
