2026-27 Budget Adopted
On Wednesday, July 15, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava released the proposed County budget for Fiscal Year 2026-2027, which kept County operating property tax rates flat while protecting core services, prioritizing investments in public safety, parks, and transportation, maintaining funding for libraries, community-based organizations, and arts and cultural programs, and preparing for the economic realities of slowing revenue growth and rising service costs.
Several Budget Town Hall meetings were held throughout August at locations across Miami-Dade County.
The Board of County Commissioners held the first public hearing on Sept. 3. The budget was adopted at the second and final public hearing on Sept. 17.
